Unbound — Woo Publication
Unbound is the Fall 2018 issue of Woo, Emily Carr University’s student-run publication. This project was an effort to step away from the traditional book format - encouraging unconventional work from the Emily Carr community and experimenting with unbound form, content, language, and new materiality.
Edition of 350 printed with Hemlock Printers.

INFO
As the Creative Director, I led a team of 9 designers to maintain an experimental yet consistent typography, colour scheme, and layout system. The creative direction for this project was pushed by the desire to express Emily Carr students’ artistic experiences and work in a drastically different manner - through a loose publication featuring 35 artists and writers, packaged in a reclosable carrier. The publication’s visuals were designed by the creative director from initial concept to production-ready final artwork.
It was integral that this publication would embody the sharing and intervention of art in all its entirety; through the experience of opening up the unbound package.
